# How does Asset Inspection work

## The standard FACS Asset Inspection template is designed to document evaluations of existing owner-owned assets like vehicles, signs, roads, or other infrastructure components.

### **Key Fields and Sections**

#### **General**

- **Number** (Required)
- **Subject** (Required)
- **Inspector** (Assignee)
- **Inspector Company**
- **Date Scheduled / Date Inspected**
- **Priority**
- **Creator** (Auto-filled)

#### **Details**

- **Assets Table** – Select from existing assets  
  Displays: *Asset ID, Description, Classification*
- **Location**
- **Inspection Remarks**
- **Required Actions**

#### **Checklist**

- **Inspection Questions Table** (Prefilled)
  
    - **Question**
    - **Response**
    - **Remarks**

 

**NOTE:** Inspection Questions can be created within the corresponding list. There are no standard inspection questions within the system.

 

### **Additional Features**

- Includes standard fields: **Workflow**, **Contributors**, **Comments**, **References**
- **Asset Inspection** follows this workflow:  
  *Pending → Scheduled → In Progress → On Hold / Completed / Canceled*

Completed and Canceled statuses are **locked**. Only a Project Administrator can revert them and only if they are not included in a pay period.
