List Template Fields define the structure of lists used in catalog dropdowns, standard tables, and prefilled tables. Users can add, edit, and manage these fields via the List Field Library.
Allowed Field Types
Only the following types are permitted in List Templates:
-

Adding Fields
-
Fields are added by dragging a type into a List Template, triggering the Add Field flyout.
-
Each field must have a unique label (max 30 characters).
-
Once added to a template, the field is saved in the List Field Library and available for reuse in other templates.
-
Each field can only appear once per template.
Editing Fields
-
Use the edit icon to update field properties.
-
Editable values of each List field are specific to the List Template the field is currently being edited from
Deleting Fields
-
From List Template: Removes the field from the specific template. Delete is only available if the list contains no values.
- From Field Library: Prevents future use but does not remove the field from existing templates or entries.
-
Some system provided list fields cannot be deleted.
Display Settings
-
The Display in entry toggle controls whether the field appears as a visible column in entries.
-
Maximum of 6 columns can display per table to ensure readability and export compatibility.
Field Properties
Most list fields have the following configurable properties:
-

-
Label – Field name visible in the UI.
-
Required – Must be filled before saving a row.
-
Tool Tip – Pop-up guidance when hovering over the field label.
-
Display Field in Entry – Choose whether the field appears in the table or only in the flyout.
Behavior & Limitations

Once created, fields cannot be converted to another type.
-
Changes to List Templates affect all active projects using that template.
-
Changes do not affect archived projects or apply retroactively when a project is unarchived.
