How to Create a new Project

New projects can be created using the Project Wizard accessed from the Account Settings / Project page.

The Project Creation Wizard allows Admin users to easily create a new project, or duplicate an existing one, using a step-by-step wizard. This ensures all key setup elements are configured in one place without needing to navigate across the system.

 

Project Information

When creating a project from scratch, the following details can be entered:

  • Project Name, Number, Engineer, Contractor

  • Address

  • Start Date, End Date, Revised End Date

If duplicating an existing project, only the Project Name value is needed. Project names must be unique.

 

 

Assign Document Templates
All Document Templates created within the Account can be assigned to the new project. Once the desired templates are selected, any lists used by the Templates will automatically be added. 

If duplicating an existing project, the templates assigned to the source project will be selected by default.

 

 

Assign Users
All Users who are active within the Account can be assigned to the Project. Assign users will have their Default Project Role applied unless edited within the Project Settings / User area after the project has been created.

 

 

 

Set Payment 
If the project will track payment, a variety of payment related settings can be configured. These settings can be modified until the first Payment is locked.

 

 

Project Logo

Project logo is used in the header of all documents exported as PDF files from the project.

 

This wizard simplifies and accelerates new project setup, ensuring consistency and saving time.
