What's new in Release Version 1.11.0

This release introduces Global & Project-Level Search, powerful List Value Merging tools, complete List Template Lifecycle Management, dedicated Photo Details Reporting, extensive Payment & Change Order workflow logic enhancements, and upgraded User Role Security & Permissions.

 Key Highlights & New Features

1. Global & Project-Level Search

Finding document entries, notes, and activity records across your projects is now faster and more intuitive with our newly integrated Search suite.

  • Header Search Bar: Access the search tool directly from the top navigation header on any page, whether working within a specific project or at the account dashboard level.
  • Smart Results by Document Template: Search results are organized into dedicated tables for each document template, ranked by match relevance and creation date, with full sorting and pagination.
  • Search Context Snippets: A dedicated Context column displays the exact snippet of text surrounding your searched term so you can evaluate matches without opening every entry.
  • Expanded Search Options: Expand your search on demand to include Archived Document Entries and Entry Comments (including comment attachment file names).
  • Cross-Project Navigation: Seamlessly switch projects or move between Account and Project views directly from the Search Results page without losing your navigation flow.
  • Permission-Aware Results: Search queries strictly respect your account, project, document template, and entry-level contributor permissions to ensure complete data privacy.

2. List Management: Merge Duplicate Values & Template Controls

To help project administrators maintain clean, clutter-free dropdown menus and reference tables:

  • Merge List Values: Project and Account administrators can now select two duplicate list values (such as misspelled company names or locations) and merge them into a single primary record. Merging updates all linked document entries, sublists, historical logs, and reports across the project, permanently removing the duplicate.
  • List Merge Safeguards: Prefilled checklist templates and Pay Item lists are protected from merge actions to preserve unit pricing and historical payment calculations.
  • Archive & Delete List Templates: Administrators can now archive obsolete list templates to hide them from new entries while preserving historical records, or permanently delete unused list templates with automated dependency validation.
  • Clean Fallback for Sublists: When all display columns in a nested sublist are disabled, the interface now cleanly displays a double dash (--) instead of showing internal system identifiers.
  • List Import Validation: The spreadsheet import wizard now supports True/False and Yes/No values for Single Checkbox fields and provides clear alerts if an empty template file is uploaded.

3. Comprehensive Reporting Updates

Photo Details Report

  • Publication-Ready PDF Export: Export high-resolution photo logs with standard report headers, vertically aligned image metadata, and formatted photo footers.
  • Custom Configuration Flyout: Filter photo reports by Source Document, Creator, and Date Range (defaulting to the current month) with project-specific template assignment filtering.
  • Placeholder Handling: Standardized placeholder images and clear reference labels ensure smooth viewing even when working with non-standard image formats.

Item Variance Report

  • Used vs. All Items Selection: Added a configuration option to toggle between Select All Used Items (for active construction tracking) and Select All Items (including unused items with 100% variance for project closeout audits).
  • Full-Project Calculation Scope: Removed arbitrary date filters so the Item Variance report always evaluates complete project history for accurate remaining and overrun calculations.

Progress Payment Report

  • Complete Percent Complete Calculations: Restored automated percentage calculations for Stockpile and Quantity Paid, Retainage, Adjustments, and Project Totals (To Date Value ÷ Authorized Amount).
  • Real-Time Retainage & Adjustment Accounting: Adjustments and retainage releases made in the current period now immediately reflect in "To Date" columns upon saving.
  • Full Text Export: Resolved text truncation on spreadsheet exports, ensuring long pay item descriptions and sequence numbers export in full.
  • Archived Entry Inclusion: Historical payment records in archived status are included in cumulative report calculations.

4. Change Order & Payment Workflow Enhancements

  • Add Pay Items Directly from Change Orders: Users can now add brand new pay items directly within the Change Order entry without navigating away to Project Settings.
  • Automated Change Order Calculations: Standardized calculation formulas for Quantity Recorded, Quantity Over (with overrun threshold logic), and Dollar Change (Quantity Change × Unit Price).
  • Change Order Approval Safeguards: Disabled bulk editing on Change Orders to prevent silent approval failures, and added descriptive alert banners listing the exact items causing an overrun if an adjustment would reduce authorized quantities below zero.
  • Payment Lifecycle Flexibility:
    • The most recently approved payment entry can be transitioned back to Pending when corrections or deletions are required.
    • Entry duplication is restricted during active reviews to ensure only one payment period is editable at a time.
    • Material Acceptance and Stockpile line items prior to a closed payment period remain editable and transferable into upcoming open periods.

 Enhancements & Safeguards

  • Active Project Scoping: Account-level document log queries strictly respect active project assignments, preventing users from seeing document logs for projects they have departed.
  • Responsive Screen Layouts: Document entry header buttons (Publish, Save, More) and contributor badges now wrap dynamically on smaller screens and mobile viewports.
  • Clear Offline & Connectivity Alerts: When a device loses internet connection, the system now displays a friendly alert ("You appear to be offline. Please reconnect to complete this action.") rather than a generic technical error.
  • Modernized Login Page: Refreshed the platform login page with updated branding, enhanced contrast, and clean layout styling.
  • Dashboard Widget Filtering: Clicking a count on the "Open Entries Assigned to Me" dashboard widget navigates directly to the target log page pre-filtered for the current user.
  • Project Export Data Integrity: Project-level list exports now strictly filter to values published or archived for the specific project being exported.

Bug Fixes & Stability Improvements

  • Project Reviewer Navigation: Restored access to the More action menu (Next, Previous, and Export) and enabled workflow transitions and commenting for Project Reviewers added via entry contributors.
