What's new in Release Version 1.15.0

This release delivers significant platform enhancements, including the new In-App File & PDF Reference Markup tool, Direct PDF Exports for all standard reports, Default Account & Multi-Account Navigation controls for guest and partner accounts, robust Material Stockpile overpayment controls & formula calculations, and extensive UI/system reliability improvements.

 Key Highlights & New Features

1. In-App Reference & File Markup

Users can now annotate, markup, and highlight attached PDF documents and image files directly within the FACS web platform—eliminating the need to download files, use third-party editing tools, and re-upload.

  • Full Annotation Suite: Add freehand sketches, geometric shapes (rectangles, circles, lines, arrows), text callouts, comments, and colored highlights directly on files.
  • Entry Attachment & File Cabinet Integration: Launch the markup tool directly from the File Reference Viewer (during entry edit) or from the File Cabinet Viewer.
  • Seamless In-Place Flattening & Saving: Saving annotations automatically merges the markup layer into the file and updates all associated views, exports, and project reports while preserving file metadata and version history.

2. Direct PDF Export for Standard Reports

Standard reports across the platform now feature direct Export to PDF alongside traditional Excel exports, providing publication-ready formatting for field and executive reporting.

  • PDF Export Across All Standard Reports: Generate standardized, formatted PDF outputs for Asphalt Adjustment, Equipment Details, Fuel Adjustment, Item Details, Item Quantity Recorded, Item Variance, Material Acceptance Usage, Material Stockpile Usage, and Progress Payment reports.
  • Polished PDF Layouts & Visual Consistency: Enhanced report headers, table borders, summary rows, and standardized color-coded status badges across all exported reports.
  • Long Text Wrapping in Photo Reports: Enhanced photo report metadata to wrap long file names cleanly within the report boundary.

3. Multi-Account Navigation & Guest User Workflows

For users collaborating across multiple partner accounts, joint ventures, or client organizations:

  • Default Account Selection: Users who belong to multiple accounts can now specify their Default Account in User Preferences / Profile so the platform automatically opens to their primary working environment upon login.
  • Cross-Account Notification Links: Clicking email notification links for entries in partner or secondary accounts now directs users straight to the target entry without triggering permission fallback screens.
  • Streamlined Partner & Guest Migrations: Re-architected guest user mapping and invite acceptance so team members transitioning between primary and guest accounts can join smoothly.

4. Material Stockpile & Financial Calculation Safeguards

  • Overpayment Threshold Safeguards: Material Stockpile entries now validate against project item payment thresholds upon save to prevent accidental stockpile overpayments.
  • Automated Stockpile Calculations: Standardized calculation formulas (Unit Quantity × Unit Price) across Material Stockpile entries, details tables, and summary totals.

5. Template, Catalog & List Library Improvements

  • Creator Fields in List Tables: Added the ability to include a Creator field on Standard Table lists to track which team member created individual rows.
  • Formula Fields in Lists: Enabled the "Add Existing" flow for formula fields within the List Library with full validation.
  • Controlled List Nesting: Established a 4-level nesting limit for data lists to maintain database performance and prevent circular dependencies.
  • Dynamic List Project Assignment: Automated list assignment logic based on document template and list field references.
  • Simplified Account Registration: Removed unnecessary password fields from the purchasing checkout wizard to allow invited initial administrators to configure their own credentials on activation.

 UI & Usability Enhancements

  • Consistent Date Filtering UI: Unified the design, date picker, and input parsing of Created Date and Modified Date filters on log pages to match standard date fields.
  • Alphabetical Workflow Statuses: Document transition buttons and status dropdowns now list available target statuses in alphabetical order.
  • Role Cleanup in Document Workflows: Clarified the distinction between Project Reviewer and Project Owner roles by removing non-transitioning roles from workflow entry/exit pickers.
  • Instant Project Selector Sync: Switching to or creating a new project now updates the top navigation selector immediately without requiring a full browser refresh.
  • Dashboard Widget Cleanup: Deleted projects are now immediately removed from the Open Entries Assigned to Me dashboard widget.
  • Conditional Workflow Notifications: The User Preferences notification panel now hides the workflow alert switch for document templates that do not utilize workflows.
  • Project User Assignment Flyout: The "Add User" button in Project Settings now activates only when at least one user is selected, and redundant filter controls have been hidden.
  • Standardized System Messaging: Cleaned up punctuation and tone across system snackbar alerts and field validation warnings for a cleaner interface.

Bug Fixes & Stability Improvements

  • File Cabinet Bulk Uploads: Resolved a folder-nesting defect that erroneously prefixed parent folder names to uploaded file titles.
  • Bulk Delete on Log Pages: Fixed an issue where performing a bulk delete operation on document log pages only deleted the first selected entry.
  • Default Values on Duplicate Entries: Duplicating entries now properly applies configured template default values rather than carrying over source values for protected text and catalog fields.
  • Deselectable Radio Buttons: Users can now click an active radio button option to clear the selection.
  • Formula Field Creation: Fixed formula field creation and editing workflows across the Document Library and List Library.
  • Template Field Deletion & Assignment: Resolved project assignment conflicts that prevented custom template field deletions when no active entries existed.
  • Catalog Field Properties in List Library: Restored missing source list links and fixed catalog field categorization inside the List Library.
