What's new in Release Version 1.17.0

This update introduces custom dynamic PDF export naming, cross-account guest collaboration, enhanced financial controls and payment safeguards for stockpiles, improved project dashboard analytics, and numerous usability and stability enhancements across document entry and list management.

 Key Highlights & New Features

1. Custom & Dynamic PDF Export Naming

You now have complete control over how exported PDF documents are named when downloaded or shared:

  • Drag-and-Drop Export Settings: Template managers can configure dynamic file naming using field tokens (e.g., Document Name, Number, Creator, Date, or custom fields) directly within the Export tab in Document Template.

  • Standardized Default Formats: Built-in templates now come pre-configured with industry-standard naming conventions:

    • Daily Reports / Summaries: Date – Number – Creator – Document Name

    • Payments: Pay Period Start – Pay Period End – Number – Document Name

    • Material Stockpile & Acceptance: Item Number – Document Name

    • Change Orders, RFIs, Submittals, and Punch Lists: Fully formatted and structured for easy identification.

  • Smart Conflict Handling: Exports automatically handle character limits and resolve duplicate file names cleanly by appending numeric identifiers (-1, -2).

2. Guest Account Support & Cross-Organization Collaboration

Collaborating with external stakeholders, subcontractors, and partners is now easier and more seamless:

  • Streamlined Guest Access: External collaborators can access shared projects and assigned tasks without unnecessary account or billing hurdles.

  • Personalized Dashboard Views: The Entries Assigned to Me dashboard widget now fully supports guest users, giving them a clear, immediate view of their pending action items.

3. Project Dashboard Metrics & Automated Widgets

Get faster, more accurate insights into project health and workflow velocity:

  • New Financial Metrics: Added Paid Last Period and Paid To Date directly to the Project Dashboard summary.

  • Project Ownership: Dashboard headers now display the Project Owner for clearer accountability across teams.

  • Automated Workflow Widgets: Project dashboards automatically create status and approval turnaround time widgets whenever custom templates with workflows are added to a project.

 Enhancements & Safeguards

Material Stockpile & Payment Safeguards

  • Overpayment Prevention: Added real-time validation during payment approval to verify that payments do not exceed permitted Material Stockpile thresholds.

  • Upgraded Stockpile Reporting: The Material Stockpile Usage Report (GUI and PDF export) now includes source details: Authorized Amount, Stockpile Threshold, and Allowed Stockpile.

  • Cleaner Stockpile Layout: Restructured the summary header on Material Stockpile entries for improved clarity and readability.

  • Input Validation: Disallowed invalid negative numbers and decimals on Retainage Percent and Stockpile Threshold fields in Pay Item lists.

  • Streamlined Action Menus: Cleaned up payment action menus by removing invalid duplicate and archive options from payment entries and logs.

List Library & Document Entry

  • Consistent Formula Rounding: Formula fields now follow standardized decimal rounding across all document views and exports.

  • Prefilled Field Management: Restored the ability to edit prefilled values directly within List Library settings.

  • Full Field Visibility in Lists: The View action in List Library now displays all list columns, ensuring full visibility into underlying data.

  • History & Audit Logging: Expanded multi-line text display and improved reliability when logging edits to list field values.

File Cabinet & Markup Tools

  • Direct Markup Integration: You can now launch document markup and annotation tools directly on files opened from the File Cabinet.

Bug Fixes & Stability Improvements

  • Resilient Project Exports: Project Export packages now complete reliably even if individual referenced files in the File Cabinet are missing or corrupt.

  • Log Filters & Time Zones:

    • Corrected timezone offset display for Created and Modified timestamps across activity logs.

    • Fixed date range filtering on user settings and activity logs.

    • Resolved column sorting and filter conflicts in catalog views.

  • Data Field Validation: Enforced strict length limits on single-line text inputs to protect against database truncation errors.
