What's new in Release Version 1.9.0

This release delivers major new features including Document Assignee Email Notifications, Document Template Duplication, and Payment Cover Sheet PDF Exports, alongside significant UI and layout enhancements, File Cabinet fixes, PDF export and signature rendering improvements, and core calculation safeguards.

  Highlights & Major New Features

  • Document Entry Assignee Email Notifications:
    • Team members can now receive automatic email notifications whenever a document entry (such as a Work Report, Submittal, or Inspection record) is assigned to them.
    • Notifications deliver a clean summary of the entry—including project name, key record identifiers, status, and direct links to review the entry.
    • A dedicated Assigned to me preference row is now available in User Preferences → Notifications, allowing users to manage their email alerts on a project and template basis.
  • Document Template Duplication:
    • Administrators can now quickly duplicate existing FACS standard templates or client-customized templates directly from the Document Library.
    • Duplicating creates an exact copy of all configured fields, layout sections, workflow transitions, and permission settings in draft status, accelerating the rollout of customized project templates.
  • Payment Cover Sheet PDF Export:
    • Introduced a standardized Payment Cover Sheet PDF export option designed specifically for pay estimate and invoice packages.
    • Serves as an executive summary sheet presenting high-level financial totals, contract authorizations, and approval signature sections without requiring full backup details.
  • Date-Based PDF Export File Naming:
    • Upgraded PDF export naming conventions across single, bulk, and project downloads to reflect the actual entry report date rather than system creation timestamps, making file organization and close-out submittals effortless.
  • Bulk List Import Framework:
    • Deployed a robust spreadsheet import wizard supporting both Excel (.xlsx) and CSV files with intelligent column header matching and instant row validation.

Enhancements & Safeguards

  • Normalized Viewport & Content Scrolling: Corrected platform-wide layout heights so that only the data content and log tables scroll vertically. Fixed an issue where outer pages scrolled unnecessarily, keeping primary action buttons and wizards clearly visible above the fold.
  • Report Filter Text Auto-Clear: Multi-select catalog search fields in report configuration flyouts now automatically clear typed search terms once an option is selected, streamlining multiple filter selections.
  • Clear Report Timeout Guidance: Replaced generic alerts on large report queries with an informative, persistent notification advising users when to narrow date ranges or filter selected items.
  • File Renaming Extension Protection: When renaming file references, file extensions are now protected and hidden during editing, preventing accidental file type corruption or missing metadata during export.
  • Active vs. Inactive User State Filtering: Updated the State column filter in Account Settings Users to cleanly filter between Active and Inactive team members.
  • Alphabetical & Numerical Checklist Ordering: Restored natural sequential and alphabetical sorting for prefilled checklist requirements across Work Report activities and project settings.

Bug Fixes & Stability Improvements

PDF Export & Signature Rendering

  • HEIC Image Support on Custom Exports: Restored full image conversion and rendering for HEIC photo attachments across all custom PDF export layouts.
  • Bulk Export Signature Display: Fixed an issue where inspector and engineer signatures were replaced by placeholder icons during bulk log-page exports.
  • Contractor Names on Custom Daily Reports: Resolved an issue where edited company names failed to render in custom PDF activity tables.
  • Payment Reference & Signature Access: Resolved cross-origin and attachment loading errors on pay estimates, ensuring all attached reference files and digital signatures export and display properly.
  • Large Project Export Packaging: Enhanced project archive packaging to handle large file volumes and complex directory structures without timeout failures.

File Cabinet & Document Management

  • Folder Creation Restored: Fixed an issue that prevented users from creating new subfolders within nested File Cabinet directories.
  • File & Folder Deletion: Restored full single and bulk deletion capabilities for existing File Cabinet files and directories.
  • Deleted File Filtering in Archives: Updated project archive generation to exclude deleted files and empty references from exported zip packages.

Calculations & Reporting Integrity

  • Change Order Total Amount Calculations: Fixed a calculation error on Change Orders, ensuring Total Amount values accurately compute as the sum of Quantity Change multiplied by Unit Price across all line items.
  • Restored Standard Report Columns: Corrected column visibility and layout across Asphalt Adjustment, Fuel Adjustment, Item Variance, Material Acceptance, and Material Stockpile reports.
  • Prefilled List Cleanup: Removed legacy test lists and resolved pay item numbering discrepancies to support seamless project close-outs.

Permissions & Security

  • Contributor Comment Access: Restored full commenting capabilities for users added as entry contributors after initial publication.
  • Read-Only Action Restrictions: Removed unauthorized "Restore" options from action menus for Read-Only project users.
  • Unsaved Changes Prompt Safeguard: Fixed an interface freeze when navigating from an active entry edit to settings, ensuring the standard unsaved changes dialog displays reliably
