How to edit a Signature field

Clicking into a signature will apply the signature value saved in your User Preferences.

Signature fields can only be accessed on Published documents, this ensures the User signing the document is working with the current version of the entry. Click into the signature area to open the Signature Confirmation flyout.

 

The Signature Confirmation flyout is designed to ensure Users do not accidentally click into a signature field and inadvertently sign a document. This area is also used to verify the logged in users identity through a password challenge if required during field setup. 

The signature value that displays is set previously when the User Account was created or within the User Preferences area.

 

Once an entry has been signed, the signature, name, title and date/time of the signing will be permanently saved to the entry. Signing an entry does not automatically lock the entry from being edited in the future.

 

WARNING: There is no way to remove a signature from an entry.
